I am a senior lecturer in Architecture Histories and Theories at the School of Design, University of Greenwich. Prior to joining Greenwich, I was a Lecturer in Architectural History and Theory at the Welsh School of Architecture on the disglair [brilliant] lecturers scheme. I have also taught both Architectural History and Architectural Theory Honours at the University of Edinburgh. I was awarded a PhD in Cultural Studies at UoE, where I was also awarded the Principal's Career Development Scholarship.
I hold an MA, First Class with Joint Honours in Architectural History and Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh (UoE) and an MA, with Distinction, in European History from Newcastle University (NU). I have taught both Architectural History and Architectural Theory Honours at UoE. My research has been presented at conferences and published in journals and I have been awarded a DAAD language grant and the Barrie Wilson Award for Excellence in First Year PhD Studies. Concurrently with my studies at the UoE, I co-organised the SAHGB Student Research Forum, the 14th AHRA Annual Student Research Symposium and was involved in the student-led seminar series Prokalo. I was also co-editor of the department’s post-graduate journal, Edinburgh Architecture Research. My research interests include: the city and protest, the radicalisation of urban space, the relationship between urban planning and the psyche, and the use of memory and cultural outputs as exploratory tools. |
